Blogging & PayPerPost…

Posted by Shannon on Apr 26, 2007 in General |

I have been very busy this past few days, which explains why no new post has been appearing…
The last I blogged was last week, and preset the post to appear day by day…

Anyway, after a talk with a friend the other day, I realise that I have separated all my post everywhere, in my different post, and the meaning of blogging has just changed (all because of PPP)… Of course, seeing the money from PPP is fun, and spending it on camera gadgets is even more fun, but what I didn’t like, is how it has changed my outlook to blogging… It wasn’t how it used to be, I don’t anymore blog the way I used to blog… Does anyone else doing PPP feels this way too?

I’m very tempted to just stick to 1 blog, but that will mean putting sponsored post on this one, which defeated my purpose of separating them in the first place and also, the PR of this blog is 0, meaning I can’t take the opps that I can take in blogspot blog… But to stop writing PPP, though I’m already lazy in writing, I enjoy the $$$ leh… How leh?
What would you have done?

yeah once u started PPP the meaning of the origin blog does changed. Mine too… if you notice. But… cant resist the USD… yeah blog still eating egg. I am also thinking of own domain but.. cant think of what to do about it.. beside writitng post.. gee.. isnt it waste of money like tht?? I mean for domain. Unless.. thinking of online business..but then.. how many ppl will shop it

SHANNON SAYS : Not quite what I think… When I started the domain, it is for myself… A diary for future, for Rachel to read back, for myself to read back, for friends to know more about Rachel and all, not to do business and earn money… All this while, PPP has just been a bonus, a bonus that I succumb to, which sometimes I find annoying…

U might want to seperateyour own blog : means those post related to yourself only in your blogspot and rachel post in this main blog.
then you can continue to blog for PPP.

I sometimes also find quite hard to read your post because sometimes you post to blogspot and sometimes to this main one and if not mistaken i went to into a blog which post mainly on yourself.. -.-”

I know its difficult but maybe u want to consider duplicating the post for blogspot for PPP purposes? more work to do lah…

After joining PPP i think its hard to give up also although u may opt for a slower pace.

Shannon, i really understand your mind. i have the same doubt now but just can’t tahan the USD, i want more and more…(HS becomes greedy now)..i am thinking to buy a domain as well, at first wanted to shift son’s blog to domain, but suddenly found that ppp is more supporting own domain, so lagi hesitate…it’s like losing my way..keep blogspot for jo or keep domain for jo? or use both for ppp (alamak sound greedy again..)

welll…i thought it was a nuisance to maintain 2 blogs…..
i do ppp on my current blog….If i’ve got nothing to blog about..i just forget about my own personal posts and ppp altog…i dont see any point in writing for the sake of having a personal post in between 2 ppp posts…unless I genuinely have something to write about.. :)
