Nicole : 2 Months Old…

Weight : 5.11kg
Height : 55cm

Nicole is TWO (2) months old (and I’m back to work already!! BOO HOO HOO)…
Her rashes on the face has decreased tremendously (like how everyone said it would), leaving just a little roughness for now, which I’m sure *fingers crossed* will go off in no time… What did I apply? I’ve only applied Elomet Ointment once when it was at its peak, and have been using normal temperature (instead of warm) water to wipe her face…

• Diet & Sleep :
  • 4.5oz every 3 to 4 hours…
  • Regurgitate a WHOLE lot more than Rachel (causing panic in her mother quite a bit initially)…
  • Could possibly tell between day and night, as she will sleeps from 9pm to 3am (average) and the rest of the time, would get up every 4 hours (MAX) and WAIL for her milk…
    • We were lucky for a night on 7th February 2010, a day after her 2 months jab, where she slept from 9pm to 6am… Both Tecky and I thought we saw the clock wrongly… But it’s just ONE night, and back to 3am the night after… *fingers crossed* I hope she’ll fall into that schedule SOON! (very wishful thinking)
• Characteristics/Developments:
  • Is VERY bad tempered… Crying and wailing MOST of the time (STILL!!!)

  In another of her Crying Concert…

  • Is possibly a morning person… She’ll smile and play for a while in the morning right after she wakes up…
  • Is a very light sleeper, slightest sound would shift her from her sleep or startled her, and it’ll be a long concert of cries afterwards…
  • Smiles when smiled/talked to (in the morning)
  • Occasionally (quite rare), she’ll coo in respond to us talking to her…
  • She can hold her head and body, without swaying left&right…
  • Can follow a moving object/face if she has focused on it…
  • Has a very bad habit/tendency to always turns her head towards the right…
    We’ve raised this with Dr. Khoo (initial paed in SDMC) and my aunt, both said there shouldn’t be anything to worry about…
  • Likes to be carried straight, so she could look around…
  • Likes to suck/lick her mittens this late 2 weeks… Would cry if we take it out…
  • Needs to be carried and rocked to sleep, else she’ll cry and wail…
  • Still could not grip things properly, as she’s still holding her clenching her fingers in a tight fist, making it a little hard to clean it sometimes…

On another note, she resembles Rachel in A LOT of ways, from physical to characteristics, making us all feel like it was a replay from 3 years ago!
