Seeing Double…

I’ve been keeping mum about a good news since 5th April 2009…

I just had to be sure… So I did a second test, a few days after…
Do notice the first test has faded a little…

Yerp, that’s right…
We are expecting num2…
EDD would be 10th December 2009 which makes me 8++ weeks pregnant now…

My Body’s Reaction:

It’s either I’ve forgotten how it was when I was initially pregnant with Rachel, or it’s terribly harder this time around… I remember feeling nausea with Rachel, with occasional vomiting… But I’ve vomited more in this 2 weeks than I’ve vomited in the whole of 9 months with Rachel… Everything I eat leaves a bad after taste in my mouth, nothing could cure it… Sour, sweet, salty, spicy… You name it, I’ve tried it… I feel ok when I’m actually eating them, but right after I swallow, then my tummy will act up and my mouth will have a horrid taste…

I’ve been really tired, that I need to go to bed before Rachel does… I’m glad that Tecky has been nothing but full of support… Handling Rachel and getting her ready for bed, and accompanying her and everything, so that I can just pig out without any disturbance… I feel guilty that Tecky has to go through all that, and also that I wasn’t quite paying attention to Rachel, but I just couldn’t collect enough energy for all of that…

Rachel’s Reaction:

When I initially told her there’s a baby in my tummy, her answer was:

“No mommy… No baby in your tummy… When got I let you know OK?”

But she’s happily touching my tummy now, proudly announcing to everyone saying “mommy’s tummy got baby”…

She has however surprised us the other day when she suddenly came to me saying :

Rachel : Mommy, you not paying ‘tention to me enough…
ME : HUH?!
Rachel : You not paying ‘tention to me enough…
ME : Sorry… I haven’t been feeling very well… Are you angry?
Rachel : No. I sad sad cuz you sick…

I can’t believe she said it to me… I still couldn’t tell if she really understood the meaning or not, but it still amazed us…

Ob/Gynae Visit:

We are still in dilemma about this… We are still choosing between a doctor we are comfortable with (but delivers in a private clinic where service and facilities weren’t up to our expectation previously) vs. a new doctor in a better known hospital with good facilities… We’ll be trying a new ob/gyn from SJMC in 2 weeks time, and that’ll probably be the determining point… So wish us luck…
