Happy Father’s Day…

Posted on Jun 15, 2010 in Rachel Huan

Rachel argued with us saying that Father’s Day was on 4th June, because her school celebrated it on that day, since it was the last day of school before the 2 weeks break… So explanation after explanation, she said fine, but she couldn’t wait to present her daddy a surprise… She has learned to keep quiet on surprises, not wanting to spill the beans to her daddy about it…

What was the surprise?

Look at his grin… ;)

She proudly declared that she did it herself and insisted on wearing it on Tecky…

Happy father’s day!!!

Balloon Festival, Pavilion

Posted on Jun 12, 2010 in Rachel Huan

Since it was her school break, and we felt she was missing out on some fun, we took her out for a day without her little sister in tow…

Where?
Pavilion…

For what?
BALLOON festival and some shopping and eating (to be truthful, the later 2 is for me, more like)

She kept asking where we were going, but “It’s a surprise” was the only answer I gave her…
Did she enjoy it?

She still had bacon kept in her mouth!!!

The pic definitely answered the question!

They had a big balloon in the middle where they allow kids to float up and down, and we thought it would be interesing for her to try… Upon seeing it, she was scared and kept saying no… But as we were going around the concourse looking at other things, she asked me questions like why are there bags tied to be balloon, why are the man holding onto the string tied to the balloon, would the balloon fly away etc etc etc, and when she was satisfied, she asked me a final question of “that means the balloon cannot fly away?”, and upon telling her that it will not fly away, she quickly told me “mommy, I want to go!”

Now, what do we have to do?
To get the chance to go on it, there was purchases involved!
As we were browsing and deciding (parents are just suckers aaaaaa), the clown was giving away free tokens (no strings attached)! Of course we grabbed it lar, and then waited in line for ages!!!!

Conclusion?
I was the one that was worried and nervous, kept telling her if she’s scared just shout down and ask them to stop (as the kids are allowed to go 3 rounds each)… She just selamba queue and sat underneath the balloon, even waved back at us!!!! When she got down, she said “THAT WAS FUN” and “I want to do it again”… hahaha

A pic with mommy…

Had to tickle her to make her laugh…

I don’t know what we were looking at…

Queue-ing up…

That smile makes everything worth it!

All ready…

I was surprised she willingly go up without us accompanying her…

Stoned isn’t she? That made me even more nervous…

Starting to enjoy?

See her waving?
