Who are you talking to?

Posted on Apr 27, 2010 in Rachel Huan

We were in the car, when I heard Rachel talking at the back, something about “My MeiMei is sick …blablabla… please take care of her”… So I turned around and asked what were you saying Rachel?

Rachel : I was telling my God, that Nicole is sick, and telling my God to take care of my MeiMei…

I have never taught her anything like that and I have no idea where she learn it from but I was definitely feeling proud and touched… :)

Month of April – Packed!!!

Posted on Apr 14, 2010 in Family, Rachel Huan

Activities on Rachel’s calendar…

As you can see from Rachel’s calendar, we are going to have a pretty major April 2010…
All of our weekends are actually filled with activities:

  1. Irfan’s 4th Birthday Party
Rachel and Nicole were invited to Irfan’s Lego Party, lotsa good food, good company and good fun in Bianco…
  2. My Brother’s Wedding
After his ROM on the 9th September 2009, the big day is finally approaching…
Rachel is definitely excited about it, counting down everyday now…
It’ll definitely be an eventful day, followed by a big reception that night… I don’t know if we’ll be able to take any pics though, but I sure hope we could…

Current plan : Nicole will be skipping the reception dinner, as it’ll be her bedtime, so she’ll be staying at home with Tina…

  3. Australia Trip
This is the other thing that Rachel’s been talking about for a month or so now… It’ll be our first 4 members family trip, plus my mom and mil… It’s a compulsory trip to make, to fulfill our PR application…
Yes, Tecky’s Australia skilled worker PR has been approved, and we were asked to make our first entry by 13th July 2010… After much consideration of the timing (winter & Nicole’s age) we decided that we’ll go into Perth (the least cold, no time difference, shortest flight journey state) for a few days, and the mothers decided to tag along…
It’ll be Rachel’s (Nicole’s too, needless to say) first trip oversea! When I told her we’ll be going Australia, she asked me what is Australia, and there were many funny conversations which took place, including:

Rachel : Inside Australia got trees and cars one ar???

I wonder how she imagined Australia to be in her head…

NOTE : Please ignore the “SPORTS DAY” that was written on her calendar… I initially overlooked the event when we planned our Australia trip, and I felt extremely guilty for making her miss her first sports day… But we later found out that due to some unforeseen circumstances, her school is postponing the sports day to 27th May 2010… That even has since been removed from Rachel’s calendar… hehehe…

Nicole : 4 Months Old…

Posted on Apr 9, 2010 in Monthly Summary (Nicole)

Weight : 6.5kg
Height : 62cm

In a blink of an eye, Nicole is FOUR months old! (can you believe it?!)

  • Diet & Sleep :
    • She drinks 5 to 5.5 oz of milk every 3.5 to 4 hours…
    • Will fuss at 8:30pm every night, to be wiped and changed for bed…
    • Sleeps on average from 9pm-5 or 6am without feeding…
    • Hasn’t really gotten into a strict schedule of her morning nap, but she’ll normally nap 3 times, once in the morning, once in the afternoon and a shorter dozed off nap in the evening…
  • Characteristics & Behaviour :
    • Nicole flipped over (towards her right) on the 31st March 2010, and on that night, is able to remove her hand from underneath her chest…
I was also told that she could turn back onto her back (also towards the right) on 5th March 2010 (but I have yet to see it myself)…
    • Been drooling a lot, and wants to bite (even sometimes lung towards me with a very geram look on her face wanting to bite me)… Also sucks on her index and middle finger (right hand) all the time (until got slurp slurp sound even!)…
    • Can sit supported…
    • She’s VERY bad tempered!
She’ll scream and shout, and cry until she gets what she wants (which is normally to be carried)… Still cries a lot…
    • She started to show signs of recognising people… When strangers talk to her, she’ll normally stare and then starts to pout and sometimes cry…
    • She loves to look at us eat, and she’ll drool and move her mouth when she stare at us eat…
During dinner time, she’ll cry if she’s in the living room, and will be quiet only when she is carried to look at the dining table where we are all eating…
    • She bats at things in front of her, but isn’t very good at grasping on things, so when she’s given a teether, though she wants to bite on it, she couldn’t control in putting it into her mouth…
    • Started to coo and gurgle a little, but is most of the time quiet… She’ll look around and seems like she’s absorbing everything around her, and even when she laughs, she doesn’t laugh out loud (mouth only big, but voice tarak!)
