Rachel Huan 
This is something so embarrassingly funny but I should post for remembrance…
Since Tecky was away, Rachel and I was browsing through the old photos and post on this blog, and it was good because she was excited to look at herself and get compliments when she successfully identify the people on the page… It was also a rest time for me, because she was running all over jumping up and down and I was near the edge of exploding with tiredness…
We reached this post where I put up the photo on the left, on our 3rd wedding ceremony anniversary… When she happily pointed and exclaimed, ‘DADDY!’… After nodding to her, I asked who is that beside daddy… To my horror, she looked puzzled and said ‘AN TI!’… (OK OK, can laugh can laugh, I post up for everyone to laugh anyway)… When I told her, that’s mommy lar, she actually looked confused and terbeliak (widen eye) for a while… My brother was there, and after a round of laughter, bro asked Rachel, where is mommy??
Rachel pointed at the physical me, smiled and said “MOMMY!”… So, yeah… I think it’s time for me to start dieting… *slap forehead*
That’s because Tecky went to Brunei for work yesterday, but thankfully, he’ll be back today (although he’ll be very late)… 
When I got home from the heavy downpour yesterday and after a hug, the next thing Rachel said was “DADDY?”… When we got upstairs to prepare her for bed later at night, she asked again “DADDY?”… When we called Tecky on the phone, all she could do was call “DADDY”, and then quietly listen to what Tecky was telling her… When I ask her where is Daddy, she pointed into the phone… *slap forehead* It was difficult trying to talk on the phone with Rachel around, insisted that she holds the phone for me, insisted to talking to her daddy, sigh, lucky the phone charges wasn’t too expensive since Tecky was in Miri and someone will come drive them to Brunei today morning…
My mum even taught her how to say “Daddy take aeroplane” without my knowledge… So when I actually initially asked her WHERE IS DADDY, I got a shock when she told me “Daddy take air plain” and then later on “go werk”…
So nowadays when Tecky goes away for work, I’m not the only one that misses him yeah… wahaha… Probably because Tecky is always vey involved in taking care of Rachel, so our daily routine actually involved everyone… Just like the day before yesterday, before he packed for the work trip he even did his weekly ‘task’ of trimming Rachel’s finger nails… Yes, Tecky trim Rachel’s finger and toe nails most of the time…
Talking on the phone with him after Rachel went to bed made me feel old… Firstly because we haven’t been hanging on the phone that long, and then when we wanted to hang up, the part about who to hang up first reminds me of old times, when we would call each other just to hang on the phone and hear each other’s voice… We really haven’t been doing that anymore hoh… hahaha… Feels weird actually… *shrug*
UPDATE :
- Lucky for me Tecky called to wake me up at 7:10am today… As he is the one that wakes up first everyday and got ready before he wakes me up, I always never heard the alarm… As always, I slept through the alarm and only got up when my phone rang, with him whispering (as his boss was around I’m guessing) asking me to wake up!! Else I would have been so late for work…
And the maid, when questioned about how come she didn’t wake me up, only casually uttered that “I thought you are not working”… *slap forehead*
- When I was getting ready, Rachel woke up, calling “mommy?” while looking for us on bed… Then when she saw me, the first thing she said was again, “DADDY?”… SEE!! She misses daddy so much…

Monthly Summary (Rachel) 
WEIGHT : 11.6 kg
HEIGHT : 81 cm (last month was 82… I don’t know which month was the mistake… )
Like most parents, let me just start off with, SHE’S 3 MONTHS AWAY FROM 2 YEARS OLD!!! hahaha… We are ecstatic… That’s another age older, and hopefully nearer to the end of her Terrible Two episode…
I’m VERY surprised that she did not put on weight during the CNY… It was because her meals schedule were all messed up, and there are many times where she end up eating with us even right after her milk feeding… I thought she was a little rounder (just like her mother) but I guess I was wrong… She didn’t put on much weight at all…
She has also FULL developed her urge to imitate us in whatever we do, from cleaning my face, to how I eat to how I walk and every other little things I do… Like a sponge in water, she’s absorbing all the little actions everyone around her is doing and replaying it to us… It’s hilarious and fun, but at the same time, reminding us how careful we’ll have to be at all times…
- Teeth
Still the same, cuspid are out, except for the slow one on her bottom left…
I also notice that her bottom left lateral incisor is not straight, but instead slanting towards the left… I have a feeling we should really start saving up for her braces fees in the future…
- Vocab
- Picking up some Malay words (thought by Tina) like PANDAI, MAKAN and PAKAI…
- I’m also trying to figure out how to start her in Mandarin…
- Could count but everytime we mention count, it’s always 1, 2, 3, 4 regardless of how many item there is for her to count… More like a reciting of the numbers and memorising that they are after the other than actual counting…
- Knows her EXCUSE ME when she needs to pass…
- She can clearly differentiate between AN TI (Aunty), UN KER (Uncle), KOKO, CHECHE and KAKAK…
- We are suspecting that she’s allergic to something… There has been 2 more minor occurrence since her extreme swelling of the lips the other day… Both happened when I fed her fried stuff from wedding buffets… We are thinking of going for a allergy blood test, to at least know what is the cause of it, instead of having to be afraid of feeding her stuff…
- She has a memory of an elephant! She can remember all the names of my mum’s maids (8 of them) and the name of my brother’s girlfriend (sometimes even calling her by name and not CheChe (big sister) like she’s supposed to)…
- She loves to POSE! Another point to add to how vain she is… Which is good because her parents love to take shots of her… hahaha… At the same time, she’ll always insist that she get a look of herself in the camera, and after a few rounds, insist that she press on the shutter instead…
- STILL learning how to feed herself with fork and spoon… Sometimes giving up and using her fingers instead…
- She loves wedding dinners… Sometimes when the music is nice, you’ll see her shaking her head and tapping her legs, while when the music is too loud, she’ll be closing her ears… The recent dinner, when we all stood up for the Chinese toast session (Yum Sheng), she insisted on holding her water bottle, and when we raise our cup, she’ll raise her bottle, and when we drink, she’ll do the same… Amuses everyone…
